Bob Birch, Elton’s long serving bass guitar wizard had a fall while on tour in Europe recently.
Davey Johnstone had this to say:
‘Bob had a nasty fall on an escalator and is in a lot of pain, but heโs hanging in. We just had a hot dog together in Frankfurt airport, heโs grateful for your concern.
He fell backwards, and hurt his already injured back and shoulder, and he badly bruised the bones on his left hand โ sucks, I hate to see my friend in pain.’
