Elton John has opened the doors of his mansion in Windsor, Berkshire for his annual celeb-filled White Tie and Tiara Ball.
Among the guests were Liz Hurley and boyfriend Shane Warne.
Liz was seen stepping out of her London home in a show-stopping Grecian-style floor-scraping gown, with a bold leopard-print and ruffled skirt, which we believe was the perfect choice for such a grand affair.
Her partner, cricketer Shane Warne, made sure to adhere to Sir Elton’s dress code in his very dapper tuxedo.
The infamous fundraiser, which is held to raise money for Elton John’s AIDS Foundation, is always an A-list affair and this year was no exception.
Among the attendees was Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford, who was sporting a white tie with slicked back hair.
Alexa Chung, Anne Hathaway and Tamara Ecclestone were also the lucky ones to be invited. Tamara was seen wearing a one shoulder, white, embellished dress.
George Michael was also on the guest list, which probably meant his well-documented feud with Sir Elton has come to an end.
Before heading to the soirée, George tweeted: ‘I’m singing tonight with Elton at his White tie and Tiara fundraiser, auctioning tickets to the show at Covent Garden Opera House!’
Sir Elton John held his annual celeb-packed White Tie and Tiara Ball at the Windsor home he shares with David Furnish yesterday.
He’s reconciled his various differences with George Michael in order to invite him to the bash and sing Don’t Let the Sun Go Down On Me with him.
Yesterday, George took to his Twitter to say:
“Have to go and have a warm up warble then put on a tuxedo, which, I assure you, wouldn’t happen other than at gunpoint 🙂
“But you have pull your finger out for Elton’s do’s…
“Er, let me rephrase that…”
Yes, quite.
Glee’s Matthew Morrison looked dapper in a bow tie as he was driven in, while Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford was there in all his gorgeous glory too.
Liz Hurley and Shane Warne attended together, stepping out for their first public event as a couple looking completely mismatched – her looking flawless, him looking like… him.
There was a royal touch to the occasion too, not in Sarah Ferguson, who wore black, but by her daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie who wore gorgeous rust and red gowns respectively.
Alexa Chung, David Walliams, Lara Stone and Noomi Rapace were also spotted in cars heading to the event, which is now in its 13th year.
No bad luck there, by the sounds of it.
