The Book of Joel, Billy Joel’s memoir, co-written with author Fred Schruers, will be in stores June 14, and according to publisher HarperCollins, it will cover the entire arc of the Piano Man’s career, from his early struggles to his eventual superstardom.
He will discuss his troubled love life, including his marriage to Christie Brinkley, and his feelings about fatherhood, as well as the real-life events that inspired many of his hits.
Widely speculated is what he may say about Elton John, who recently made headlines for saying that Joel needed to go to a “serious” rehab program.
Readers are promised “an emotional ride.”
