Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) Founder Sir Elton John, joined by Chairman David Furnish and Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi visited a health clinic in Durban, South Africa which provides HIV testing and treatment for LGBT people. The clinic in Umlazi township is operated by EJAF’s funding partner Health 4 Men which has developed a nationwide programme to reach all LGBT people in need of HIV testing and other sexual health services.
After Welsh singer-songwriter Rod Thomas, who goes by the moniker Bright Light Bright Light, burst onto the U.K. music scene in 2012 with his debut solo album, he signed with Rocket Music Management, a company co-founded by one of his heroes, Elton John. The arrangement ultimately didn't work out and the two parted ways professionally, but they remained friends. So for Bright Light Bright Light's new solo album, Choreography – out July 15th – Thomas asked John if he'd like to sing on the track"All in the Name."
Music industry veteran CONNIE PAPPAS HILLMAN has parted with the ELTON JOHN organization after over four decades. She will assume the role of VP of BAR NONE MUSIC, INC., the management and publishing entity for her husband CHRIS HILLMAN. She will also continue at the helm of CONSTANT COMMUNICATIONS CORP., the company she founded in 1982 as the production enterprise for all of ELTON JOHN's NORTH AMERICAN tours. The company will now continue to diversify its business activities, which include the expansion of her collegiate lecture series on women in today's music industry.
